Life’s been kind of having big ups and downs over here at Casa de Frankweiler, hence the not posting much. I don’t really want to have a blog that’s all “waaah waaaah I’ve got problems”. So since I haven’t have much nice to say, I haven’t said anything. But that still kind of sucks, doesn’t it?
I was just perusing lovely Heather’s blog and came across this: her singing a lovely song! And I thought, she’s really good at that! And I thought how great it was that she was sharing something that she liked and was good at with everyone. And from there I thought – hey, there’s stuff I’m good at too! Why not show it off? So as a way to take a moment to share and feel good about myself at the same time, I present:

I am amazing at rolling. That probably sounds wierd, but I mean it as in doing forward rolls and shoulder rolls … like on mats in gym class and stuff. With me so far? Ok. Well, I’m an awesome roller. I can actually tuck my head down and roll and not touch the ground until my legs go around. I will attempt to get this on video to prove it to you.

I can write a research paper faster than most people can say “research paper”. Example: for a college anthropology class I had one 18 page paper and one 12 page paper due on a Wednesday morning (on different topics, mind you). They comprised pretty much my entire grade for the class. I started researching on Sunday night, wrote the 12 page paper on Monday, the 18 page paper on Tuesday, and handed them both in at 8am on Wednesday. I got an A.

I read the 5th Harry Potter book (the almost 900 page one) in 8 consecutive hours.

I’m crazy good at doing voices and I can impersonate pretty much anyone.

I can crochet some really great stuff, I’m almost done a sweater coat!

I work amazingly well under pressure. In fact, I generally wait until the last possible second to do things because that’s when I become the most productive.

I manage to prefectly blend logic and rationality with humanity and compassion.

I’m freakishly strong.

I’ve killed cancer cells.

I bake awesome cookies.

I’m a really good friend.
So that’s what I’ve got off the top of my head. Things that I’m good at. Things that I like. Things that make me unique.

I am in AWE of the rolling. I could never manage to tuck my head enough…..
I am with you on the research papers though. I have long said that if someone would pay me a decent wage to write papers for a living I would be SO happy.
I am going to have to remember to ask for some impressions the next time I am up your way!!!
